Connection in a Lonely World

April 2022

Discuss Together

  • Was there a time in your life when you felt like you didn’t fit in very well? Where were you, and why did it feel that way?
  • Have you ever had to work extra hard to feel a part of a group by doing something big or even (looking back) somewhat silly?
  • If connection is something we all want, what makes it so challenging today? Why do you think it’s one of the most common things people asked about for this series?
  • Read the following passages together: Exodus 4:13-17; 4:27-31; 7:1-7; 16:1-3; and 17:11-13. As you read, make observations about the relationship between Aaron and Moses. What did this connection look like?
  • What does it mean to be or to have a godly friend? Get specific.
  • Ryan shared how powerful connections often come about as a result of pursuing a common goal together. Have you found that to be true? How?
  • In your experience, what takes a friendship to the “next level?”
  • On a scale of 1-10, how connected, accepted, and known do you feel right now in your life? Why?
  • What is one way this week you can be a godly friend to someone else in one of your spheres of influence (work, neighborhood, church, home, friends)?
