- Have you seen “Encanto”? If so, what did you think? If not, why not and what is one of the last movies you’ve seen?
- Have there been times when you felt like your gifts or abilities were “not enough” or like you didn’t have meaningful gifts?
- Read Genesis 1:26. What does it mean to be created in the image of God?
- Does the thought that those around you are created in the image of God help you to show grace and love to difficult people?
- Read Psalm 139:13-19. How do these verses help you find purpose?
- How can these verses give us confidence in doing good works, and how can they change the way we see our failures or shortcomings?
- Read Jeremiah 29:4-7 and Ephesians 2:8-10. Jeremiah’s audience was in involuntary exile in a foreign, hostile land. Paul wrote Ephesians from prison (Eph. 4:1), and many in his audience were in slavery or other circumstances they did not choose (Eph. 6:5-8). How can these verses encourage us to do good works in difficult circumstances or circumstances we did not choose?
- How have the passages we looked at today given you confidence in doing good and serving those around you?
