Seven Free Family Easter Events in DFW for 2025

Pastel candy, plastic eggs, and bunnies: they’re popping up everywhere, which means Easter will be here before you know it. Now’s the perfect time to plan out some seasonal, family-friendly fun to enjoy with loved ones. We’ve got a list of some of the best free Easter events happening around DFW in 2025.

1. Easter Candyland at The Shops at Willow Bend (Plano)

Date: Saturday, March 29 from 1–3 PM

Location: Bunnyville (in front of Neiman Marcus) at The Shops at Willow Bend, Plano

Cost: FREE (register here)

Kick off the Easter season at Willow Bend's Easter Candyland on Saturday, March 29th, from 1–3 PM at Bunnyville (in front of Neiman Marcus). Activities include a chocolate bar hunt, cotton tail candy, games and activities, a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, and more! Registration requested.


2. Especially Needed Eggstravaganza (Frisco)

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2–4 PM

Location: Miracle League Field at Harold Bacchus Community Park, 13995 Main St., Frisco

Cost: FREE (reserve tickets here)

For individuals with special needs and their families, Especially Needed hosts a free egg hunt and resource fair. Games, music, and food round out a fun afternoon with the Easter Bunny. Registration required.


3. Easter in Turtle Creek Park (Dallas)

Date: Sunday, April 20, 1:30–4 PM

Location: Turtle Creek Park, 3333 Turtle Creek Blvd., Dallas

The Turtle Creek Conservancy’s Easter Sunday egg hunt continues its 50+ year tradition in the heart of Dallas! The fun includes

  • An egg hunt for kids 10 and under,
  • FREE photos with the Easter Bunny
  • A DJ and food trucks,
  • A costumed Pooch Parade
  • An Easter Egg Recognition Wall

4. Eggtastic Easter (Little Elm) 

Date: Saturday, April 12, 11 AM–1 PM

Location: Little Elm Park, 701 W Eldorado Pkwy, Little Elm

Watch the Easter Bunny arrive by helicopter! Then, search for over 30,000 Easter eggs on the soccer fields of Little Elm Park. Arrive by 10:45 AM to take part in the egg hunt, which starts promptly at 11 AM. Afterward, enjoy bounce houses, music, a bubble artist, and a chance to take a photo with the Easter Bunny!


5. Community Egg Hunt (Melissa) 

Date: April 19, 10 AM–12 PM

Location: Melissa MS Cardinal Stadium, 3100 Cardinal Dr., Melissa

The whole family is invited to two FREE egg hunts: one for the littles (Birth-PreK) and one for the bigger kids (Kinder–Grade 5). Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, and more! Local food vendors will also be on-site.

 

6. Easter Egg Scramble, EGG-cessible Egg Hunt, and Flashlight Egg Hunt (Sachse)

The City of Sachse has a whole lineup of Easter fun planned! 

  • Easter Egg Scramble

Date: Saturday, April 12, 10 AM

Location: Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Dr., Sachse

Children ages 2-10 are invited to come and see the Easter Bunny who will hide candy and special "prize" eggs for three age categories; 2 to 4 years of age; 5 to 7 years of age; and 8 to 10 years of age.  

  • EGG-cessible Egg Hunt

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2 PM

Location: at the Michael J. Felix Community Center, 3815 Sachse Rd. Bldg E, Sachse

The EGG-cessible Egg Hunt will be open to people of all ages with mental and or physical disabilities.  There will be sensory prizes, beeping eggs, eggs on balloons, and more!

  • Doggie Bone Hunt

Date: Saturday, April 12, 7:00 PM,

Location: Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Dr., Sachse

The Doggie Bone Hunt will start at 7:00 p.m.  Bring your canine friend out to the park for doggie treats, prizes and pictures with the Easter Bunny.  Dogs will be divided based on weight and are required to be on a leash at all times.  Also, there will be contests for best dressed or cutest canine.  

  • Flashlight Egg Hunt 

Date: Saturday, April 12, 8:00 PM

Location: Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Dr., Sachse

At 8:00 p.m., the Flashlight Egg Hunt presents a special challenge to children ages 5 to 13. Bring your brightest flashlight and make sure it has new batteries. We'll search for eggs stuffed with candy and that special, prized "Golden Egg". 
Two age groups: ages 5-7 and ages 8-13

 

7. Saturday Easter Fun at Chase Oaks

On Saturday, March 30, Chase Oaks Church offers free fun for the whole family after Easter services at 2 and 5 PM. There are three locations to choose from:

  • Legacy Campus will have egg stations, candy, popsicles, snacks, bounce houses, photos with Easter Bunny, and more!
  • Sloan Creek Campus will offer sweet treats and an Easter bunnies hunt, where kids can look for over 100 hidden plush bunnies. One lucky bunny will hold a ticket to a Grand Prize Easter surprise!
  • Woodbridge Campus will feature wonderful treats, an Easter photo opportunity, and more! Compete in the egg/spoon races at 3:15 PM and 4:30 PM or at 4 PM, try your hand at an egg drop design competition with help from the Sachse Fire Department hook and ladder truck.
